How to reach us

By rail

Swindon is served by First Great Western services from:

London Paddington - 1 hour
Reading - 30 mins
Didcot Parkway - 15 mins
Chippenham - 15 mins
Bath - 30 mins
Bristol - 45 mins
Cardiff - 1 hour

Other services also run from Oxford (via Didcot Parkway - about 50 mins) and Gloucester (about 45 mins). Please check the National Rail timetable for details.

North Star House is five minutes’ walk from Swindon railway station.

From the station, turn left and follow the pavement beside the high wall. After about 200 metres, cross the road junction and turn right into the long underpass. At the end, turn right up the steps. Turn right again and follow the footpath round to a roundabout. North Star House is on the left.

By bus

Take the bus to Swindon bus station. Then walk to the railway station via the underpass and follow the directions above.

By road

From London (81 miles) or Reading (40), travel west on the M4 to Junction 15, then take the A419 and the A4259 into Swindon.

From Cardiff (77 miles), Bristol (42) or Bath (38), take the M4 east to Junction 16, then take the A3102 into Swindon.

From Gloucester (35 miles), follow the A417 and A419 and join the A4311 to Swindon.

From Salisbury (41 miles), take the A345 to Junction 15 of the M4, then take the A419 and the A4259 into Swindon.

From Oxford (30 miles), follow the A420 and then the A4312 to Swindon.

As you approach Swindon, follow signs for 'Town Centre'. Then look out for signs for 'North Star'. Follow these until you arrive at the roundabout by the dome of the Oasis leisure complex, and take the second exit (the one before the Oasis). North Star House is to the right of the roundabout.
