About the new Shared Services Centre
Providing a better service
The new RCUK Shared Services Centre Ltd (SSC) is committed to delivering the highest levels of services to our customers: the UK’s seven Research Councils. The SSC was formed to:
- Streamline the key processes used by the Research Councils, by developing shared and centralised resources and by adopting best practices throughout
- Provide a greater consistency of services, increasing the efficiency, flexibility and effectiveness of the Councils
- Bring financial benefits that will allow the Councils to invest more funds in research, training and knowledge development
This will all be achieved from our single centre at North Star House, Swindon.
